Stone Harbor Property Owners Association’s 2016 Water Conservation Project is underway at the Water Tower. Under the direction of the SHPOA Beach & Bay Committee, chaired by Wally Bishop, Joe Hughes of the Borough and Josh Nemeth of the Wildlife Gardener are completing the installation of native plant species. The demonstration project design called for separate metering of inside and outside water uses, splitting the irrigation system into six zones and adding drip irrigation for non-lawn water use. This project enhances the appearance of the Water Tower surroundings while modeling water conservation efforts.
